A road trip across Sicily in 2009. I was at this point still stubbornly disinterested in my digital SLR and took my Pentax and as many rolls of Fuji Velvia Slide film as my student budget would allow.

Several years later…
This time a family holiday to Pisa and Florence; I packed my Rolleiflex and several rolls of Kodak Ektar. The rich colour boost complimented both the ornate architecture and pervasive details which enriched every shadowy lane. The restriction of film is also for me its virtue, giving you a narrowness of viewpoint and an opportunity to experience the journey with a particular focus which I sometimes miss when given the free range of digital.
